Support animals
Due to health and safety reasons, and in order to safeguard the entire College community, animals are not allowed on campus.
Assistance Animals, typically dogs, are fully protected under the Equality Act 2010 and as such those are the only animals which can be allowed on campus. They are required to be professionally trained to assist a disabled person to do work or perform tasks. We suggest that you get in touch with the disability team and inform your faculty that you have an Assistance Animal to ensure arrangements are made in advance.
Therapy Animals (also known as emotional support animals) do not have the same legal rights as Assistance Animals in the UK (Equality Act 2010) and we are therefore unable to accommodate them in the College. We are keen to support you and understand your needs for please get in touch with either the Disability or Mental Health and Autism Support to book an appointment.
