Partner hall: College Hall

Located opposite the Birkbeck main building on Malet Street, College Hall welcomes over 350 full-time residents, both undergraduates and postgraduates. Some rooms have been adapted for students with special access requirements. 

College Hall is located within the heart of Bloomsbury and is within walking distance of Euston, Russell Square and King's Cross stations.

    • College Hall has a number of gender neutral bathrooms.

    • The catered contract includes breakfast and dinner. Students with College commitments who cannot return in time for the evening meal can pre-book a late meal at the reception.

CONTRACTS

  • Nominated students will sign an agreement with the University of London Accommodation Services. Once nominated by Birkbeck, all aspects of the student’s contract and life in halls will be managed by the University of London. 
  • Contract duration: 40 weeks for catered rooms, 14 September 2025 - 20 June 2026. 
  • Students who have been offered a room in this hall can request early arrival when they receive their tenancy agreement from the University of London Accommodation Service. Requests for early arrivals will be dealt with exclusively by the University of London Accommodation Services. Please for further information.
  • Contract extension after June 2026 can usually be applied for depending on availability. Contract extensions are arranged directly with the hall administration during term two.
  • Rent includes utility bills and WiFi.
  • A £500 deposit and administration fee will be payable to the University of London on receipt of the contract.

    • Please note that only the rooms listed above are available for Birkbeck students to apply for via Birkbeck accommodation.
