Clearing now open: apply to study at Birkbeck
Birkbeck offers a unique opportunity for students to gain a prestigious University of London degree while balancing work, volunteering or other commitments.
Clearing opens on Saturday 5 July, and Birkbeck, University of London is ready to welcome a new wave of students looking to take the next step in their academic and professional journeys.
Most of our undergraduate courses are available to study in the evening, with some also offered in the day or online. Birkbeck offers a unique opportunity for students to balance study with work, volunteering, or other daytime commitments. Whether students study at our campus-based university in the heart of London or online, they'll gain a prestigious University of London degree.
Students who already have their results can apply now for full-time undergraduate degrees starting in October 2025. Applications can be submitted online by creating a ‘My Birkbeck’ account, or by calling the Clearing hotline on +44 (0)20 3907 0700.
Students waiting for their results can sign up to Birkbeck’s Clearing mailing list to receive updates and guidance ahead of A-level results day.
To get a feel for life at Birkbeck, prospective students are invited to attend the Clearing Open Day on Saturday 16 August, from 12 to 3pm. The event includes campus tours led by current students, talks from Student Services on topics such as admissions and student finance, drop-in sessions with academic staff and support teams, and opportunities to speak with current students about their experiences.
