We are delighted to launch a new series of thought-provoking discussions at Birkbeck, led by our former Vice-Chancellor Professor David Latchman CBE, President of the Birkbeck Fellowship. Join us to hear from Birkbeck’s leading voices.
Each event will feature a prominent member of the Birkbeck community to explore ideas, careers and public life in conversation with Professor Latchman. Open to alumni, fellows, students, staff and friends of Birkbeck, this series offers the opportunity to engage in timely and meaningful dialogue, exchange ideas and build connections with Birkbeck’s community.
In the inaugural event in the series, we will hear from Baroness Shami Chakrabarti, our new President, who will join Professor Latchman in conversation, followed by an audience Q&A. A Member of the House of Lords since 2016, Baroness Chakrabarti is a labour peer, human rights lawyer, campaigner, and privy counsellor.
For the next event in the series, Professor Latchman will be joined by Dame Melanie Dawes, Chief Executive of Ofcom, on the evening of Wednesday 25 February. There will be more information to follow.
