Overview

This Organisational Governance, Ethics and Sustainability: Sustainable Business and Organisations short course provides a deep dive into what it means for organisations to operate sustainably. You will learn about the practical considerations and challenges of implementing sustainable business strategies, as well as approaches to making organisations more accountable and sustainable.

You will gain an understanding of:

  • organisational governance across in the private, public and third sectors
  • the role of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations in business decision-making
  • sustainable investing and financial strategies
  • the influence of stakeholders in organisational thinking
  • examples of efforts to combat bribery and corruption in business
  • the role of the government in sustainable development goals.

This course is a great next step from our Organisational Governance, Ethics and Sustainability: The Essentials course, but you are not required to have completed that course before studying.

This course is well suited for professionals wishing to gain confidence when developing sustainable business strategies and practices in a business context.

You will receive a Birkbeck certificate of participation upon completion of the course.

This course is non-credit bearing, so carries no credit points.
